  9. As a rookie in 1974, Jack became the starting 
  10. middle linebacker for the Pittsburgh Steelers. 
  11. He quickly became a key part of the teamΓÇÖs 
  12. famed ΓÇ£Steel Curtain" defense. He was
  13. named the NFLΓÇÖs Defensive Rookie of the
  14. Year that season, and the Steelers won their
  15. first Super Bowl. They ended up winning four
  16. Super Bowls over a six-year span, and Jack
  17. was the defensive captain for two of those 
  18. championship teams.
